We bought this remote for the usb converter so we could use it with our universal remote. that still has to be manual. Works like a champ. The only thing you need to know is that it will NOT turn the PS3 on and off. Otherwise. works flawlessly
I own a harmony 880 remote, so I was most interested in teaching my remote the IR commands. It worked as I expected. The only fall back is that is does not support Power On/Off functionality. But it allows full control of the Blue Ray player and menu items.
If you are a Playstation fan you already know that that the vibration feature has to be there. I you like to play games like MLB 2008 The show you know that vibration is a must for getting into the game exitement.This could seem unusable for many but for those who likes the rumble, like dual shock 2, this controller it's a definite tool to have.get it.
I purchased the Blu Wave Remote to make my Harmony One remote compatible with my PS3. The setup using the harmony software was relatively easy (I set up the activity as Watch a DVD, but you can set it up as Play a Video Game). I made some minor modifications to buttons on my Harmony One, mainly using the enter button as X. Overall, for the price I paid, I am extremely pleased with the Blu Wave, with the only downside (as other reviewers have indicated) being the lack of "power on/off" capability with the remote, but not a big deal for me with my setup.
Buttons have to be pressed really hard to do anything. They go in, but then must be like karate chopped down. Gave this to a friend for free and bought a first party one.
